| I use materials as varied as latex fabric, sand, hydrostone, foam
sealant, cast-off pieces of building materials, household objects,
pipes and wires. I enjoy using everyday objects which are so familiar
that we have stopped “seeing” them. I choose these things for their
physical properties: color, texture, malleability and their association
with the home and/or the body. My work has multiple references to the
figure and to physical processes. It expresses a creative tension
between constraint and release.
